The reduction of the labia minora has become a frequent question in surgery consultations at our Clinic.

It is an intimate surgery of which it is necessary for esthetic reason and for the comfort of women, Dr. Caroline OSMAN will explain to you about a new technique (the wedge technique) that has been developed to reduce the labia minora (with a natural shape) and to maintain and increase the sexual sensation for the patient.

Dr Caroline OSMAN proposes to associate, together with the Labiaplasty, a clitoroplasty which will increase the sexual sensation during intercourse in contrary of the other technique of Labiaplasty.

Labiaplasty is done under local anesthesia in the one-day surgery and you can leave afterwards, no recovery time is needed only the patient will be informed to prevent to do some exercises.

Labia minora enlargement can be congenital or acquired by chronic irritation, exogenous androgenic hormones and stretching with weights. This can cause inflammation, poor hygiene and pain during sexual intercourse or intermittent urinary self-catheterization.

Aesthetically, asymmetrical or enlarged labia minora causes low self-esteem sexually and pain when the lady wears tight pants.
