Cryotherapy

What causes warts on labia minora?
Genital warts are a common sexually transmitted infection caused by a virus called Human Papilloma
Virus (HPV). This virus is passed on through direct skin-to-skin contact with someone who has HPV on
their skin. It can be passed from person to person during vaginal and anal sex.

What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is the first-line treatment recommended for genital warts. It is very effective and has a high
clearance.
By freezing the warts using a very cold substance (usually liquid nitrogen), done at the Clinic, it’s a
painless and scarless procedure.
Dr Caroline applies a very cold substance, in less than one minute around the warts to freeze them. You
may have a mild or moderate burning sensation during treatment, sessions can be spaced by one week.

Warts spread after Cryotherapy?
After a treatment, the skin will blister or get irritated and the warts will not be contagious anymore.

Dr Caroline completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Paris, France in 2003. During that time, she acquired diplomas and gained extensive experience.
