Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty is a procedure that enhances the feelings of ‎sexual gratification and should allow women to receive ‎and give more pleasure when making love. We advised it for :

  • Women ‎who have experienced childbirth: vaginal muscles tend to ‎expand during delivery
  • Every woman complaining from anorgasmy: on the exam Dr Caroline can check the tonicity of the perineal muscle if weak or loose or weakness in the G-Spot.

This can be embarrassing, uncomfortable and lead to ‎sexual dissatisfaction.

During consultation and on the exam, Dr. Caroline will advice you what types of Vaginoplasty you need: by surgery or by laser or radiofrequency.

Vaginoplasty by Surgery:

The aim of the surgery is to ‎improve the tone of the vagina by tightening the perineal muscles (multiples layers depending on your case), done in the one-day surgery at the hospital under local anesthesia during few hours and you leave after the hospital same day.

Dr Caroline will provide you a prescription with painkillers. Complications are rare and the recovery time is 40 days.

Non-surgical Vaginoplasty by laser or radiofrequency:

Are RF and laser treatments painful?

Both RF and laser treatment heat up the tissues, but they are well tolerated. They can be performed in a clinic or hospital.

Will I need anesthesia during or after the RF or laser treatment?

RF treatments are done without anesthesia. Laser treatment of the vaginal canal may be done without anesthesia, but external treatment is typically done with topical anesthesia.

Will I need pain pills afterward?

There is typically minimal to no tenderness after RF or laser treatment. Typically, patients don’t need post-treatment medications.

What should I expect after a treatment?

Patients sometimes experience vaginal discharge for a few days after treatment.

Depending upon the device used, patients may be instructed to refrain from intercourse and tampons for one to four days after treatment.

Will I notice results right away?

Heating the tissues affects the cells producing collagen, so the tightening effect may take a month. Tightening of the labia majora with RF can be apparent immediately. Laser treatments results in a more superficial treatment with injury to the epithelium, which takes several days to heal.
